'Touch' is a tactile re-imagining of a museum environment that brings Braille to the forefront. It was inspired by the brilliant tactile objects at the Wellcome Collections permanent exhibition, Medicine Man, as well as improving accessibility for the blind and visually impaired. 'Touch' uses both type and Braille to appeal to a wider audience, as we believed it could also be a learning tool for children on school trips or a way for frequent museum goers to re-experience their favourite collections.
'Touch' won best in category for 'social change' at Bright Idea's 2018, securing funding to progress the project further. It has also been pitched in front of a panel of entrepreneurs and judges at Makerversity, Somerset House.
